The first school bell has rung… and PHEW!! may be one of many things you are feeling right now. With the sadness of seeing summer go, there is often huge relief to be back into the routine of the school year.

WHAT’S GOING ON?

As your child whizzes through one developmental milestone after another, most of the focus is rightly on them. Parents are juggling so many things that it is easy to get swept into a stream of reacting and responding to what our kids, or their school, or other people, seem to expect from us. But, as much as this is your kiddo’s childhood, it is also your parenthood – often the most powerful experience you’ll have and the single biggest legacy of your life. (Yes, it’s big!)

Checking in with yourself and making some adjustments that you would like to make has to potential to make you more satisfied, and also more effective. As you make space for your priorities and own the parenting tasks you take on, your increased presence and commitment will be felt by your whole family.
